Eastern Chapter Host Professional Responsibilities
Eastern Chapter Match Play
All players that sign up are entered directly into match play. It will either be a 32 or 64 person bracket with byes depending on the amount of sign ups. Seeding will be off last year’s Chapter Championship results. If the player did not participate in the 2023 Chapter Championship their seed will be based on order of entry. You must be a member of the Eastern Chapter to register.
1st Round matches will begin the first week in June. Round deadlines will be set after the bracket has been established. If matches are not completed in the specified time both participants forfeit. The lower seed (1 vs 16) #1 will choose the location at an agreed upon time.
(4) will qualify to the Section Match Play Championship

If you are bringing a team to a pro am, it is your responsibility to contact the host facility to submit all current amateur information (name, handicap, age) no later than the event deadline on Thursday at 11:59PM.

Northern Chapter Rules & Regulations
Northern Chapter Match Play
The Northern Chapter’s Match Play format will consist of a qualifying round for seeding. Last year’s Match Play Champion is the automatic #1 seed (Scott Hebert). Everyone else who registers will have to play in the qualifying event, which is scheduled for Monday, May 13th at Traverse City Golf & CC. The qualifier will be an 8:30AM shotgun to determine the seeding with first round matches that afternoon beginning at 1:30PM.
After the first round, it is the golfers’ responsibility to play their next matches before a certain date, the lower seed will select the course. If there is a distance of over 100 miles between the players and their respective courses, then the lower seed will choose a neutral site to play their match within 100 miles for both players. In the case the players can’t get their match in, have a standing tee time at a predetermined site the day of the deadline and whoever shows is declared the winner. If both players show, then they will play their match and a winner will be determined.

Western Chapter Rules & Regulations
Western Chapter Match Play
Western Chapter Match Play format will consist of a qualifying round for seeding. Last year’s Match Play Champion, Jeff Caminiti is the automatic #1 seed. Everyone else who registers will have to play in the qualifying event, which is scheduled for Wednesday, May 22th at The Mines. The qualifier will be an 8AM shotgun to determine the seeding with first round matches that afternoon at approximately 1PM.
After the first round, it is the golfers’ responsibility to play their next matches before a certain date, the lower seed will select the course. The match must be played at a neutral site that is within the boundaries of the Western Chapter and both players must agree on the time of the match. If two players cannot come to an agreement on location or time before the deadline, a tee-time will be made at the Tournament Chairperson’s facility on the deadline date. Both players are expected to attend and if one or both fail to appear, he, she, or both will be disqualified.

Senior Organization Match Play
All players that sign up are entered directly into match play. It will either be a 16, 32 or 64 person bracket with byes depending on the amount of sign ups. Seeding will be off last year’s Senior Player of the Year points. Defending Senior Match Play Champion will be the #1 seed (Jim Deiters). Ties will be decided by blind draw. You must be a member of the Senior Organization to register.
For those players who recently turned 50 or will turn 50 prior to the Match Play Championship date, since they were unable to gain points for the Senior Association, they will be seeded based on their position on the Section Point list relative to those Senior participants position on the Section Point list.
Match play deadlines will be set after the bracket has been established. The lower seed will be responsible for contacting their opponent and has the privilege of determining the site of the match. The match MUST be played at a neutral site.
If the two players cannot come to an agreement on a location or time to play prior to the deadline, a tee time will be made at a neutral course decided by the Senior Tournament Chairman on the deadline date. Both players are expected to attend and if one or both fail to appear, he, she, or both is disqualified.
