Registration will open March 1st, 2022 at 9:00 AM.
New to 2022 in order to accommodate all of our potential National Qualifiers we will no longer be running a Boys or Girls 12 & under division.
2022 Approximate Yardages we will be using roughly the same yardages from the 2021 competition.
If you are a PGA member you will need to use a completely separate email address to register your child. (Do not log into your bluegolf account, do not use the same email as your Bluegolf account)
Boys Eligibility: Please note all players must meet eligibility criteria (must be 13-18 years old as of August 5, 2022, must have amateur status according to the USGA/R&A, is not a full-time college student). You must also be a Michigan resident.
Girls Eligibility: Please note all players must meet eligibility criteria (must be 13-18 years old as of August 5, 2022,, must have amateur status according to the USGA/R&A, is not a full-time college student). You must also be a Michigan resident.
Women’s Western Junior: If would like to play in both the Women’s Western Junior and the Junior PGA Championship, you will need to register for both events before the player registration deadlines.
If you qualify for the match play, you will have 48 hours after the Women’s Western Junior to request a refund and WD from the Junior PGA Championship. You would have until the end of June 20th to request a refund.

Entry Fee:
Ages 13 – 18 – $110 (36 holes, 18 holes each day)
Entry Deadline: June 16, 2022 at 5pm
Eligibility: Open to all boys and girls that are Michigan residents.
Once you register through BlueGolf, you will immediately be placed into Eligibility Pending. All players will be individually approved by staff. All Boys 13-18 will play from the same tees and all Girls 13-18 will play from the same tees.
Covid-19 Protocol: We will continuously update the Covid-19 rules as the year progresses, here are our guidelines as we stand in January of 2022.
Age Groups: All players 13-18 will be competing for the overall National Championship. The top two players, 13-18 will advance to the National Championship
There are two sub age groups, 13-15 and 16-18. These are determined by the players age as of July 15, 2021. Players do not select their sub-age group. Sub age groups are used to pair the players for round 1. Round 2 will be re-paired by score. We will give awards in the overall category, 13-18 and the sub age groups 13-15 and 16-18.
Approximate Yardage:
Boys – 6600 yards
Girls – 5800 yards
Divisions for Awards: Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in the following divisions:
Boys 16-18 | Boys 13-15
Girls 16-18 | Girls 13-15
We will also award Trophies to the Champion and Runner-Up for the overall 13-18 division.
Players 13-18 will be competing together for the overall State Champion title
Players will be paired within their sub age division for round 1 and repaired by score for round 2.
Alternates
New to 2021 the Section will be designating two ordered alternates during Michigan Junior PGA Championship.
Openings caused by the withdrawal or non-entry of any of the 45th Boys Junior PGA Championship or 45th Girls
Junior PGA Championship players who qualified to play in his or her respective Junior PGA Championship through
exemptions A-2, A-3 or A-4, will be filled exclusively from an alternate list determined by the section where that
player qualified.

Cog Hill Golf & Country Club – Palos Park, Illinois
Champion – 4 Performance Stars, Top 20% – 1 Performance Star (less than 40 in field), Top 20% – 2 Performance Stars, Top 50% – 1 Performance Star (40 or more in field)
Girls 13-18 PBE:
Champion – 4 Performance Stars, Top 20% – 1 Performance Star (less than 30 in field), Top 20% – 2 Performance Stars, Top 50% – 1 Performance Star (30 or more in field)
Results will be posted to the Junior Golf Scoreboard
