Event Information
We are excited to announce the third annual Patriot Classic Charity Hockey Game against the Detroit Red Wings Alumni and Michigan PGA Professionals! All proceeds will benefit the military pillar of PGA REACH Michigan to continue growing PGA HOPE programs for our local Veterans.
The event will take place on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Munn Ice Arena on the campus of Michigan State University. Doors will open at 11:30am; game will start at 1:00pm. It will be open to the public, free of charge, and donations will be accepted onsite.

PGA REACH Michigan is the 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization and philanthropic arm of the Michigan PGA Section, one of the 41 sections in the PGA of America. Our members from across the entire Michigan PGA Section, are committed to serving our communities and growing the game of golf through our three pillars- Youth, Military, and Inclusion.
The funds raised in this event will support PGA HOPE Michigan, which is the flagship military program of PGA REACH Michigan.
PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is the flagship military program of PGA REACH, the charitable foundation of the PGA of America. PGA HOPE introduces golf to Veterans and Active Duty Military to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. The program introduces the game of golf through a developmental 6-8 week curriculum, led by PGA Professionals trained in adaptive golf and military cultural competency. All programs are funded by PGA REACH and supplemented by PGA Section Foundations, so the cost of programming is free to all Veterans. PGA Jr. League is the flagship youth pillar program of PGA REACH, with the goal of making the program accessible to all interested kids in the United States and around the world.
PGA WORKS is the flagship inclusion program of PGA REACH. The fellowship aspires to be the most valuable entry-level employment opportunity for individuals from diverse backgrounds to garner experience in all facets of the golf industry.
