New Section Officers Elected at Fall Membership Meeting

EAST LANSING – The annual Michigan PGA Fall Membership Meeting was held on Monday, October 20 at Eagle Eye Golf Club. We were joined by PGA of America Career Consultant, Todd Smith, PGA Player Engagement Consultant, Stacey Rice-Dorman, Incoming District 5 Director, Kevin McKinley, and PGA of America Honorary President, John Lindert.

Honorary President, Dean Kolstad, oversaw the elections for the Section’s Secretary, Vice President, and President positions. Those elected were Dan Urban, President, Jeff Rachar, Vice President, and Ward Sutton, Secretary.

The Meeting included two educational sessions: Mike Sullivan and Justin Rose from Make The Turn/Metro Detroit Golfers talked about why video content is the #1 marketing tool for golf professionals and facilities in 2025. Brent Kerstetter from Mercer Advisors talked about the fundamentals of financial planning including budgeting basics, estate planning, debt management, investments, and life insurance.
