Augusta, MI – Congratulations to the team of Brian Cairns from Fox Hills Learning Center and Ben Cook from Yankee Springs Golf Course on winning the 2021 Yamaha Golf Cars Plus / John Bond Pro Pro Championship.
We had a great field of 70 teams Monday competing on both Stoatin Brae Golf Course and Stonehedge South Golf Course in this 36 hole best ball event.
The light rain in the morning round cleared out and made for a nice afternoon. After their morning round of 66 at Stonehedge South Ben and Brian found themselves 3 shots back to the teams of Jacob Connell from Red Run Golf Club and Tim Pearce from Birmingham Country Club as well as the team of Jim Deiters from Midland Country Club and Kyle Dobbs from Walnut Creek Country Club.
Ben and Brian caught fire late in their second round going -7 under on their last 10 holes for a round of 63 at Stoatin Brae, good enough for a 2 shot victory and their first Pro Pro Championship title.
We would to thank our host Gull Lake View Properties and the staff at both Stoatin Brae and Stonehedge South. The golf courses were in great shape and all of their staff did a great job making this event a success.
We would also like to thank our sponsors . This is the 7th year that Yamaha Golf Cars Plus has been a sponsor of this event ! We appreciate their support of this event and the Michigan PGA Section.
We would also like to thank John Bond for stepping up and supporting this event as a sponsor this year as well. John is a Ferris State PGM alum and recently relocated back to his home state now living in Kalamazoo, Michigan after moving from Denver where he was previously with Pukka Headwear.
