Michigan was well represented at the Regional Drive Chip & Putt competition hosted by Oakland Hills Country Club. Two out of eight qualifiers for the Drive Chip & Putt National Championship are Michigan locals. Kate Brody of Grand Blanc, MI and Lucas Bernstein of Williamston, MI will advance to compete at Augusta National on the Sunday before the Masters. Kate is 14 years old and the daughter of PGA Member, Doug Brody. Lucas is nine years old and has competed in Drive, Chip & Putt for the last three years.

These two competitors went through three very competitive rounds of qualifying to make it to this stage. Tens of thousands of kids enter into the Local Qualifiers throughout the nation, and only 80 make it to Augusta for the National Championship. Michigan is proud to send two of our top competitors to enjoy a day full of competition and fun among top golf legends.

Be sure to tune into the Golf Channel on Sunday April 5th, 2020 to watch Kate Brody and Lucas Bernstein compete!
