Ypsilanti, MI – The sun was shining for an outstanding day of golf on Monday at Washtenaw Golf Club. The team of Jim Deiters from Midland Country Club and Austin Deiters from Midland Golf HQ secured the Sterling Cut Glass/St Andrews Products / Blue Tees Golf Fall Pro Pro title.

38 teams of two Michigan PGA Professionals or Associates teed it up on Monday at Washtenaw Golf Club in this 18 hole format that featured six holes of best ball, six holes of modified alternate shot and 6 holes of scramble format.

The Deiters team took home the title after winning a one hole playoff against the team of Bill Clark from Great Oaks Country Club and Tim Pearce from Birmingham Country Club. Both teams went into the playoff at 8 under par. The team from Kendall Academy at Miles of Golf, Ryan Lenahan and Patrick Wilkes-Krier, followed closely with a 65 and finished at 7 under par.

This is the Deiters team’s second win in this fairly new event that was started in 2019.

We would like to thank our host site Washtenaw Golf Club. The staff and club were very welcoming and helpful, and the golf course was in great shape. It was a pleasure for the Michigan Section to host an event here and many players were grateful for the work that was put into clearing the greens following the storms that impacted the course last week..
