West Bloomfield, MI – Twenty Two teams teed it up on Monday in what turned out to be a beautiful day at Tam O Shanter Country Club in the Michigan Section’s Fall Pro Scratch presented by Club Prophet.
Congratulations to the winning team of Ian Ziska from American Dunes Golf Club, Cody Haughton from Red Run Golf Club, and their amateur partners Drew Miller and Joe Canitano. Drew and Joe will both be joining the golf team at Michigan State University in 2024.
The team had a successful day with all four players playing very well in this two best ball of four format, finishing at 130, ( -12 under par), four shots ahead of three teams who tied for second.
One of those teams finishing in second at (-8 under ) consisted of Matthew Zavadil, a PGA Life Member, Kevin Muir from Wyndgate Country Club, George Bowman from Oakhurst Golf and Country Club, and Andrew Mogg from Wabeek Country Club. The second team included Kevin Stires from Pine Lake Country Club, AJ Partenio from PXG Detroit, as well as amateurs, Mike Roberts, and Nik Senkowski. The final team that tied for second included Ryan Lenahan and Patrick Wilkes-Krier from Kendall Academy at Miles of Golf, Darren Husse from Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club, and Scott Shapin from Pine Lake Country Club.
Thank you to Tam-O-Shanter Country Club for hosting this event. The golf course was in great shape, many players complimented the facility as a whole. The day was wrapped up in the clubhouse dining room with awards and drinks overlooking the 18th hole.
