EAST LANSING – The annual Michigan PGA Fall Membership Meeting was held on Monday, October 19 at Eagle Eye Golf Club. We were joined by PGA of America Career Consultant, Todd Smith, and PGA Player Engagement Consultant, Stacey Rice-Dorman.
Secretary, Ward Sutton oversaw the election to vote Diane Lazaros an honorary member of the Michigan PGA in dedication to her 32 years of service as the Membership Services Administrator for the Section. Diane is preparing for retirement at the end of this year.
The Meeting included two educational sessions: Chandler Withington, retired Head Professional from Hazeltine National Golf Club talked about focusing on the big picture of your life; managing the expectations placed upon us, finding the courage to do the hard thing, and living life free of regret. Four-time Stanley Cup winner, Darren McCarty talked about lessons in leadership, resilience & success; overcoming adversity, mental strength and resilience, leadership and teamwork, and the pursuit of excellence.
Complimentary headshots were provided by Julian Arceo, founder of Arceo Studio Collective.
